Sitting at a bar in Rhode Island over St Patty's day I was introduced to a new drink. After already being a fan of drinking Jameson on the rocks, I heard someone order a "Jameson and Ginger". Intrigued by the sound of it I had to try this for myself, and I have to tell you I fell in love! The smooth sweet taste of the Jameson combined with the Ginger in the Ginger ale was like no other. The Ginger ale takes the bite off of the Jameson and together they mix for a perfect cocktail! So if you are looking for a refreshing drink that you can drink a lot of and not wake up the next morning hating yourself, I recommend a "Jameson and Ginger".

Fox & Hounds American Icon Singing Competition was a HUGE success last year so we are doing it again!
Open auditions start tonight, January 13th and will also be held January 20th and 27th. You must be 21 to participate. Do you think you have the best voice in town? Well come out and prove it!
Auditions are karaoke style and free!
The actual competition will begin February 4th at 10 pm. Audience votes as well as judges scores will determine the winners.

Thursday June 18th – “FOXY NIGHTS”
Starting at 10pm the Fox and Hound will turn the lights down low and will turn up the sizzle as they introduce “Foxy Nights”. A night filled with excitement and adventure as they serve up X-Rated Vodka drinks and offer prizes to the winners of the nights “Special Event”. There will be several fun games along with an appetizer buffet. The theme this night will be Pink and Black, so dress to impress!! The nights festivities will include…………………………wait these events are so “Racy” I can’t even mention them! So we better see you at the Fox and Hound Thursday June 18th!! I promise you won’t be disappointed!!
 Friday June 19th – “Tequila Dinner”
Starting at 7:00 in the Burgundy Special Guest Chef Jake Lippencott from Yia Yia’s will prepare a special 3 course meal, including an appetizer, dinner, and dessert. This year’s events will include 5 performances from different local bands starting at 12pm, a cookout, an outdoor tiki bar, boats and Jet Skis on display from Rusty Eck Ford, several beer tents, and best of all a HUGE inflatable SLIP N’ SLIDE!!! The outdoor events will continue on until 8pm, but wait, you can’t go home just yet!!!
Starting at 9pm, the outdoor festivities will be carried inside and the night begins! At 10pm there will be a Male swimsuit contest!!, Then at 11pm Soulicit will take the stage, and then at 12am the much anticipated BIKINI CONTEST will begin!!! If you think you’ve got what it takes to flaunt your stuff in front of a bunch of sober patrons, and maybe a few others, then you must be there Friday night starting at 10pm to sign up!! Thank you all who participated in the American Icon contest at the Fox and Hound this past Wednesday. It was a lot of fun and a huge success!! Congratulations to our 6 winners who will advance as one of the 18 chosen few competing for $1000 grand prize along with $500 worth of recording studio time from Brickhouse Studios. This week's winners are: Aubrey Slief, Almand Streblow, Woody Stewart, Candice Swedenberg, Brett, and Chris Rowe!! This concludes the auditions and we now have our 18 participants who will go on to the next round. Each week 2 will be participants will be eliminated until there are only 2 remaining. On May 13th the final 2 contestants will battle it out on stage until one remains!!

Starting February 25th “American Icon”
From Feb. 25th to May 13th The Fox and Hound will be Hosting Wichita's very own "American Icon".
There will be a grand prize awarded of $1,000.00 as well as $500 worth of recording time at Brickhouse Studios in Wichita.
Signup starts February 25th between 5 and 8:30. The event starts every Weds at 8pm and ends whenever the last 6 are chosen.
They will do this for the 1st 3 weeks of the contest. Starting on the 4th week they will have 18 total contenders and will begin the eliminations until the last day of the event when the winner will be chosen. The judges will eliminate 2 contestants each week. If you are eliminated in one of the first 3 weeks you can sign up for the next week. You can do this for the first 3 weeks until all 18 contenders are chosen. This is an 18 to enter event. There is no cost to enter the contest or to watch. There will be 3 judges and volunteers are welcome.
Schedule:
Each contestant will choose one song of his or her choice and sing 90 seconds A CAPELLA during the tryouts. If you are one of the 18 chosen to participate, you will be required to sing the following:
March 18 - Choose one song of your choice
March 25 - Choose one song of your choice
April 1 - Country song and one of your choice
April 8 - 80's Song and one of your choice
April 15 - Classic Rock Song and one of your choice
April 22 - R & B and one of your choice
April 29 - Pop and one of your choice
May 6 - Soulicit (Participants will have to choose one song from the Band Soulicit)
May 13 - Final contestants will choose 3 songs to sing.
Drink specials are provided by standard Beverage and are: $2.00 Dos Equis pints, $3.00 Heineken pints, $4.00 Stoli and Bacardi Drinks.

THE BLACK COLLAR AFFAIR: A BENEFIT FOR THE HUMANE SOCIETY
We are having a cocktail party at The Shadow that will benefit the Kansas Humane Society. There will be a $5 cover, all of which will be donated to the Humane Society (or you can donate more!). The dress code will be cocktail attire, so ladies find a cute dress and gentlemen no shorts or jeans, please. Think nice dress pants and dress shirt, or if you want to go all out, break out a suit!
Feel free to bring your friends and family, but make sure you let them know they must be in cocktail attire. Drink specials will include $3 vodka drinks, $5 Vodka Redbulls, and $5 Jager Bombs.
