Starting February 25th “American Icon”
From Feb. 25th to May 13th The Fox and Hound will be Hosting Wichita's very own "American Icon".
There will be a grand prize awarded of $1,000.00 as well as $500 worth of recording time at Brickhouse Studios in Wichita.
Signup starts February 25th between 5 and 8:30. The event starts every Weds at 8pm and ends whenever the last 6 are chosen.
They will do this for the 1st 3 weeks of the contest. Starting on the 4th week they will have 18 total contenders and will begin the eliminations until the last day of the event when the winner will be chosen. The judges will eliminate 2 contestants each week. If you are eliminated in one of the first 3 weeks you can sign up for the next week. You can do this for the first 3 weeks until all 18 contenders are chosen. This is an 18 to enter event. There is no cost to enter the contest or to watch. There will be 3 judges and volunteers are welcome.
Schedule:
Each contestant will choose one song of his or her choice and sing 90 seconds A CAPELLA during the tryouts. If you are one of the 18 chosen to participate, you will be required to sing the following:
March 18 - Choose one song of your choice
March 25 - Choose one song of your choice
April 1 - Country song and one of your choice
April 8 - 80's Song and one of your choice
April 15 - Classic Rock Song and one of your choice
April 22 - R & B and one of your choice
April 29 - Pop and one of your choice
May 6 - Soulicit (Participants will have to choose one song from the Band Soulicit)
May 13 - Final contestants will choose 3 songs to sing.
Drink specials are provided by standard Beverage and are: $2.00 Dos Equis pints, $3.00 Heineken pints, $4.00 Stoli and Bacardi Drinks.
